Born in San Francisco, Bruce Lee was a skilled master of the martial arts and an actor. Often getting into fights as a child, he used Kung Fu to teach himself discipline. He was taught by Yip Men, a master in his own right. Lee improved upon his skills, eventually creating his own style known as Jeet Kune Do. Moving to Seattle to complete studies in philosophy at the University of Washington, Lee took some small roles in films, then got his big break as Kato in the Green Hornet television series.
