Then we do it all over again the next day. But where is the emotion that goes with it? We've lost it. Instead, consider if you did not have any of those things. What if you did not have a job? What if your family were taken away? Now, go through your day appreciating those things you have and really enjoying the time you have with them!

Unfortunately, it seems as a society, we tend to have a better time in laughing at people when they are down instead of helping them when they need it. There are plenty of people who place blame for this mentality all over the place, but where it came from doesn’t matter. What does matter is not doing it. This quote attaches well to the quote from Confucius earlier. It reminds us that those things we take for granted day in and day out can be very important ones. While you may not take the time to appreciate the beautiful sound of birds chirping outside your window in the morning or the funny noises your littlest child makes when she's playing with her toys now, what if you could no longer hear?
