Using Love Quotes to Make Points On A Date

The art of dating can be very difficult. Even for those who are good with the dating scene there are a lot of awkward or even uncomfortable moments that can be encountered. Now, take someone who is not the best at dating and you can have what seems to be a recipe for disaster.

When you go out on that first date with someone, or even the first few days, it’s a very tense time. You are feeling out another person and trying to give them a good impression of you. After all, it is possible that this could be the beginning of a great relationship, unless you screw it up. When you add the stress of trying to make sure you leave the right impression with the emotions and attractions that are often very strong in those first few dates, this becomes a very difficult task.

So, what can you do to make sure you are giving off a great first impression and keep that great impression going on dates afterwards? One answer may come in the form of knowing how to use love quotes.

You have no doubt seen the movie scenes where some man reads a sonnet to a woman he adores and does a full dramatic presentation and then the audience laughs. That’s not what we’re talking about. You don’t want to come off as corny or foolish. You want to come across as sentimental and possibly cute.  This is done by making sure you use the right kind of quote at the right time.

Beginning Date Quotes

When you are new into a dating situation or relationship, you have to be very careful when considering using quotes. If you use too deep of a quote too quickly it could be disastrous. You may send the person you are interested in running the other direction. If they think you are suddenly head over heels in love with them and they are not feeling the same way, you may literally scare them away if you are too emotional and deep when using love quotes. Instead at the beginning of a relationship you should stick with lighter quotes that are not so intense. Here’s a sample of one you could use:

“The spaces between your fingers are meant to be filled with mine.”

While this is a quote that shows you are interested in them and to be a little closer, by holding hands in this case, it is not some deep love devotional that may be a shock to their system. You can even be cute with this type of a quote and grab their hands and make the quote your observation in response to holding their hand.

Deeper Date Quotes

Once you have been in a relationship longer, you can consider using quotes that are a little deeper. As a matter of fact, you can even use some love quotes as a way to take the relationship to the next level. For example, if you want to tell the person you love them, you can use a quote such as:

“I didn’t know I was looking for love until I found you.”

This is a crystal clear quote when it comes to what it means and instead of just saying ‘I love you’ it will have all the more impact because of the beautiful thought that goes with the quote. Instead of just saying that you love the person, you are also telling them that their presence lets you know how to feel love. That can have quite the heart-melting impact.
